“Salvation for a race, nation, or class must come from within. Freedom is never granted; it is won. Justice is never given; it is exacted. Freedom and justice must be struggled for by the oppressed of all lands and races, and the struggle must be continuous.”

Sekeyian Wins National Youth Council Election

MCI's president, Sekeyian Yiaile, was one of 16 candidates chosen to sit on Kenya's National Youth Council (NYC), a nationally elected group that will lead efforts to improve life for young Kenyans.

While The NYC was established as an act of Parliament in 2009, the national elections did not take place until December 2012. Each candidate began campaigning at the village level. Winners then proceeded to regional, provincial, and finally national elections.
