“Salvation for a race, nation, or class must come from within. Freedom is never granted; it is won. Justice is never given; it is exacted. Freedom and justice must be struggled for by the oppressed of all lands and races, and the struggle must be continuous.”

–A. Philip Randolph

Our Plans for the Future: Building a better future for girls one project at a time

Each year we focus on new capital projects to advance MCI’s vision and objectives. In 2012, we are raising money to:

  • Build a new classroom for the 6th grade girls at Mara Hills Academy ($10,000)
  • Construct a kitchen and food storage building at Mara Hills Academy ($15,000)
  • Build a playground ($2000)
  • Build a fully equipped science center for Mara Hills Academy ($50,000)
  • Purchase a vehicle to provide transportation between schools and villages ($30,000)

We also need to finance the day-to-day costs of keeping our programs going. Your donation helps, no matter how small. For example:

  • $10 buys a set of school books
  • $25 feeds a child for one month
  • $50 buys a student's full uniform for one year
  • $200 pays a student's annual tuition at the Fred Baron School
  • $600 pays a student's annual tuition at Mara Hills Academy
